Our philosophy emphasizes learning the art and science of music in a fun, structured environment. We focus on the individual, helping each student reach his or her own personal goals. This is carried out through our staff of professionals chosen for their ability to develop autonomy, build confidence and nurture self-expression.
Music students at Musical Expressions have the opportunity to explore all styles of music at any level. Our student body includes children, teenagers and adults of all ages. We can help a high school student prepare for college music auditions and solo music contests; teach improvisation; theory; sight reading; composition and arranging. We can give insight for auditioning, rehearsing, performing, recording and producing, or simply provide the basics, while laying a foundation of proper technique.
From the adult hobbyist to the teenage punk rocker, from the school band/orchestra beginner, to the student with professional aspirations, all are welcome.

You’ve dreamed of being on stage, rocking out like your favorite artist. Maybe it’s punk. Maybe it’s the blues. Maybe it’s singing your heart out as a front man. Maybe you want to bring the beat and twirl the drumsticks while the guitarist and bassist get the rhythm going and the singers carry the tune.
Our Rock Ensemble program is a student’s one-way ticket to performing on stage with their very own band. Bring in all your favorite tunes: the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Arcade Fire, Led Zeppelin, Paramore, Green Day, Buddy Guy, Tom Petty… The genres and artists are unlimited! You will learn how to rock solos, belt it out, and collaborate with your peers under the bright stage lights of your final performance at a live venue.
Directed by Patrick Dugan, one of our veteran guitar instructors, this 10-week program meets for 90 minutes on Saturdays and Sundays. We offer junior high, high school, and adult ensemble groups. We do Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall Rock Ensemble performances.
